MILITARY CHILDREN / BAH or BAQ
There are 161 DOD Schools where our military children go to school daily. Actually 69,000 students attend these schools. Of this number 1/3 are registered for FREE or reduced fee lunches.
If 23,000 students qualify for this program then why do their families not qualify for Federal Food Programs?
BAH / BAQ is not considered as income by the IRS. So why is it considered income by SNAP and other Federal Food Programs when military families apply?
There are about 1.3 million Active Duty Personnel serving in our armed forces. To put that into perspective that number is less than one-half of one percent of our population.
Yet the DOD fails to recognize that these service members, who would put their lives on the line for their country in a moments notice, like everyone else they run into financial situations that cause them and their families to go hungry.
Our immediate goal is to get food to our service members and their families! We are developing an online cooking school that we believe will help families and we are reaching out to elderly Veterans in our communities who may need food or someone to shop for them.
We have organized Veterans, Civilians and Veteran Owned Restaurateurs across America to feed Active Duty Personnel and their families during times of unnecessary financial hardship. Our mission is to lead from the front, and as positive leadership is contagious. we hope you will join us!
Operation Leadership is registered with the state of Tennessee as a NON-Profit Organization.
Operation Leadership is pending 501(c)(3) Status with the IRS.

Upon receiving notification that a service member has a need, we collect information with regards to food likes/dislikes and allergies. That is it! You will receive hot food for your family and groceries!
